The wheat markets are quiet in tone, but steady. Cargoes are dull of sale. Victorian January and South Australian January-February shipments are at 80s. The buttter market is firm. Colonial, 110 s to 112 s ; New Zealand, occasionally, 114 s. The high prices are, however, checking business. Danish is firm, but unchanged in price. Sugar is steady, but unchanged in price. Copper is firm. On spot, 55J; three months, 55].

Pig-iron is at 58s 9d. Lead, £ll 11s l]d. Spelter, 17Jd. Wool: Bradford tops are steady and firm, but unchanged in price.
