OTAGO A. AND P. SOCIETY.

Dunedin, last night. The committee of the Otago A. and P. Society decided to accept the suggestion that the New Zealand Agricultural Conference this year should be held under its auspices during the Winter Show, on June 25th to 27th. The prizes for the Winter Show were increased, and attractions decided on.

THE GOVERNOB. The Governor and General Babington arrived to-night from the North.

SPORTING,

Northern horses are arriving for the Dunedin Cup Meeting, Cannio Chiel, Dundas, Battle Cry, and seven others arriving to-night. GOLD DREDGING. The return from Paterson’s Freehold Dredge last week was 3400z5.
