By Telegraph—Preaa Association. Napier, Inst night. The Annual Caledonian Sports wero held here to-day, in the preseneo of 3000 spectators. The weather was perfect. Chief interest was contred in tho running of L. C. McLachlan, who won both tho •220yds (in 21 2-sscc) and the 140yds (in 49sec) handicaps from the scratch mark, putting up coloniil records in each event and a world’s professional record in tho 220yds. McLachlan was accorded a great ovation for his magnificent porformancos. A. Can pbell won the mile handicap from scratch iu 4min 30 3 ssec. R. Strickland (Byds) won the 120yds handicap, McLachlan being just beaten out of a place, in 11 2 ssec. Brunette and Bradley, o£ Palmerston North, won the one-mile and three-mile bicycle handicaps respectively.
