DUNEDIN NEWS

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Dunedin, last night. Steady work is being done at Forbury camp by the South Island section of the Ninth Contingent. Some fifteen horses reached camp to day, and daily additions are expected now. Captain Nicholas has been recommended for a commission, and is commanding the Canterbury No. 3 Squadron for the time being. The health of the men in camp is excellent, and Captain Jackson, who is in charge, states there is not a single case of illness in the camp.

The Senate of tho New Zealand University met to-day, Sir J. Hector, Chancellor, presiding. The Chancellor submitted a lengthy report, and consideration of it was deferred, the business being of a formal nature.
