Burnham School Escapees.

Christchurch, last night. Between Saturday night and Monday last the premises of Mr Shaw, draper, were broken into, and two suits and other clothing stolen. These have been traced to the possession of two lads who escaped from the Burnham Industrial School. Last night they stole two horses, saddles and bridles, and are supposed to be making for the West Coast. Later.—The two Burnham escapees, with the horses, were captured to-night in the North Canterbury district, having travelled over 50 miles since the morning.
