By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Feb. 17. The steamer Tagliaferro has been towed into port with her intermediate shaft and propeller broken. The accident happened in the vicinity of Wilson's Promontory. The disabled steamer was picked up next day. Brisbane, Feb. 17. When the brigantine Prosperity struck, the boat was washed away. The crew took to the rigging, and remained there all night. Tney were thrown into the sea when the vessel broke up. All excepting the mate and cook (whose names are unknown j managed to get ashore.
