Wellington, last night. Sir J. G. Ward returned to Wellington by the Rotomahana last night. The Premier meets deputations here to-morrow, and leaves for the West Coast on Tuesday. The Hon. W. C. Walker remains here for a few days. His Excellency the Governor remains in town for a day or two. To-morrow, he goes to Southbridge on a motor-car, and on Tuesday or Wednesday he visits Cheviot, where the earthquakes still continue.
