The police have been informed that the man Fagan, supposed to have been stabbed, was gored by a bull at Henderson previous to his disappearance. Wellington, last night. William Horsley, 18 years of age, a seaman on the ship Melville Island, was killed this morning by a fall from aloft. He was a New Zealander, having joined the crew at Oamaru. In view of the medical evidence at the inquest, the police are making inquiries in regard to the body of the infant found on the Thorndon Esplanade yesterday. Wanganui, last night. At the inquest into the circumstances connected with the drowning of the boy Fitzmaurice, on Wednesday, a verdict of accidental drowning was returned. A rider was aided commending the lad Herbert Purnell for his endeavors to rescue the deceased.
