THE NELSON JUBILEE.

Tho Jubilee celebrations to-day included a trotting meeting, costume cricket match, exhibition of drill by tho bluejackets, etc. The bowling tourney concluded with the pairs. Hansford and Watt (Nelson) beat Hoyden and Summon (Palmerston) by S 3 to 7, Falconer and Plimmer (Wellington) were defeated by Jack and Hodgkins (Palmerston) by 23 to 11, Webb and Sweeney (Newtown) beat Sharp and Brown (Nelson) by 14 to 13, Nash and Buick (Palmerston) beat Norris and Lamb (Blenheim) by 14 to 13, Rutherford and Wastnoy (Nelson) beat Mac Kay and Patcher (Blenheim) by 17 to 16, Bunting and Mowlern (Palmerston) beat McCallum and Adams (Blenheim) by 15 to 13, Angus and King (Nelson) beat Heaps and Wood (Nelson) by 13 to 10, Rout and Kerr (Nelson) beat Kempthorn and Pre- • shaw (Nelson) by 15 to 12. In 2nd round Butherford beat Morris, Angus beat Webb, Bunting beat Rout, and Jack beat Hansford. In the third round Bunting beat Butherford, Angus beat Jack. In the final Bunting and Mowlern (Palmerston North) beat Angus and King (Nelson) by 16 to 11.
The tennis tournament is not completed. The ladies’ singles was won by Miss Brabant, of Westport. In the men’s championship singles, C. H. Broad beat C. A. Green.
