AUCKLAND SPECIAL.
(Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. Among the Gisborne passengers by the Elingamite are: Messrs C. Adair, E. Forrest, Noble-Campbell, Cox. Red Lancer and Bob have left for Gisborne, in charge of the Auckland steeple--1 chase rider, Alex, Mitchell, to compete at the Gisborne races. Frank Ross, the owner, follows next week. A Gisborne syndicate has resolved to purchase an oil launch, to be utilised on the Gisborne rivers. The launch will probably be completed in the course of six weeks.
