Supreme Court.
(By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. In the Supreme Court Jack Tawhanga, who was convicted yesterday of theft at Palmerston North, was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment. At the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court John O’Grady, charged with indecent assault at Awahuri, was found guilty. The jury added a strong recommendation to mercy on account of hia youth and previous good character. The prisoner was remanded for the report of the Probation Officer.
