A POST OFFICE ROBBERY.
£96 STOLEN AT SUMNER.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night. Between noon and 1.30 this afternoon, while a gala was being held, £96 was stolen from the Post Office at Sumner. It was while the officer and mistress were out of the office. The perpetrator of the theft took the opportunity to snatch the cash box containing the sum mentioned, and made away with it. So far there is no clue to the theft.
