SCENE IN THE FEDERAL HOUSE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, Jan. 29. The Leader of the Labor Party has called attention in the Federal House to the action of Sir W. Forrest in granting permission to contingenters attending a political meeting at Adelaide to-night called for the purpose of sympathising with Great Britain against slanders. A Westralian member dubbed Forrest “ A crawling Jingo.” A scene ensued, and tho member apologised.
Government defended tho action, and the matter dropped.
