SCENE IN CHURCH.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night.

There was rather a painful scene at the Onehunga Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning, when tho Rev. Robert Wylie, who recently resigned the pastorate, spoke bitterly of the causes that had led him to sever his connection with the congregation. Ho said tho reason why the attendance had fallen off was because of tho appearance of carbuncles upon his body since July last, which prevented him from working as hard as ho liked. He made a personal attack on Mr Barr, a member of the congregation, who replied, and another member was about to extend the controversy when it was ended by the organist playing the concluding voluntary.
