ATTTEMPT TO MURDER.
NATIVE FIRES AT A WOMAN.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Russell, last night.
News by a messenger from Waikonne, states that a native named Douglas Kaukapa fired two shots at a woman, wounding her in the head. No further particulars are to hand.
Constable Fordy has gone to arrest the man.
