Palmerston was weakened by having to play a substitute in the place of Drew. The game will bo completed on Monday afternoon. It is hardly likely that Palmerston will be able to pick up the missing numbers in six heads.

When the tournament ceased on Saturday night the rolative positions of the various clubs were as follows :

(Special to Times.) Wellington, last night. The inter-club contest at the bowling tournament was concluded yesterday, Gisborne being seventh on the list with eleven wins and six losses. Victoria and Palmerston North each have three losses, and have four heads yet to play in the deciding game for the banner. It was too dark last evening to finish the game. Victoria have a lead of eleven points, so their chance of winning looks very rosy. Gisborne’s last three games were played against New Plymouth, Ponsonby, and Masterton, and they were successful in the latter two. In the match against New Plymouth Coleman’s rink made.ls and their opponents’ 9 in a fifteen-head game, but Ponsford went down by 10 points. Coleman’s team made 27 to 9 against Ponsonby, and Ponsford 27 to 8. In the game against Masterton, Ponsford won by eight points with two heads to go, whilst Coleman's rink made 31 to their opponents’ 11, the game being abandoned on the nineteenth head.

At the Thorndon green on Saturday Stanley Celeman played as substitute in one of the tournament matches, and made a good lead. The Gisborne rinks for the warehousemen’s trophies and Huddart-Parker cup are as follows: Massey, Coleman, Ponsford, and Gaudin ; and Wallace, Ferris, Witty, and McGowan.
