The Journal do Bruseiles, organ of the Belgian Government, says that the ungrudging sacrifices made by the British colonies is a striking object lesson of national solidarity. Vienna, Jan. 25. Tiie Archduke Franz visits the Czar in February, nominally to acknowledge the rank of General in the Russian Army recently conferred. It is, however, considered that the visit will be one of high political significance. Sydney, Jan. 26. Mr See fully endorses Mr Seddou’s protest against contracts for army supplies being given to the Argentine. He has cabled to the Agent-General stating that preference ought to be given to the British colonies.
There are no signs of the body of a Chinaman who disappeared mysteriously from Yarnva. Tho police found bloodstains in a hut and boat belonging to the missing man.
