At to-day’s wool salos about 1400 baleT' - ® - were offered, tho bulk being sold at an advance of fully 4d per lb for good bright crossbred, while inferior and dingy crossbred advanced ]d to |d.
A SATISFACTORY ADVANCE,
The New Zealanl Loan and Mercantile Ageucy Company received the following advice yesterday in reference to the wool sales : — 11 Tho sales opened at an average advance of 5 per cent, on last sales’ closing rates for merinos and fine crossbreds, and 7£ per cent, for coarse crossbreds. Competition by both Home and foreign buyers is active.”
