One hundred and fifty Boers surprised twenty-five Yeomanry acting as escort to thirty-five natives engaged cutting grass at Lindiqniespruit. A gallant resistance aas inane, but the British were overpowered. One was killed and seven wounded. Four unarmed natives were shot in cold blood. Six Boers were killed and four wounded.
