Fire at Whangarei.

Auckland, last night. By a fire at Whangarei, Mr Tippet’s house, occupied by James Hill, was destroyed. The fire is supposed to have originated through the chimney catching fire and communicating with the woodwork of the mantelpiece. The building is insured in the New Zealand Company for .£l5O. A large portion of the furniture was. saved. The furniture was not insured.
