WRECK OF A BARQUE.

CREW SAVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association. Westport, last night. The Danish steeJ barque Alexandra, in ballast, bound from Sydney to Westport, is ashore on the Brighton beach, about 30 miles south of Westport. Captain Anderson wired from Charlestown this afternoon that the crew had been saved, but the vessel is in a bad position, full of water. There are many holes in the bottom, and the beams are broken and the deck started. He could see no use of sending a tug. No further particulars are available.
