MAN DIES IN SWIMMING BATH.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. A man named J. A. Seabourne, a baker at Sydenham, died suddenly in the swimming baths at Sydenham to-night. He had swum rhe length of the bath, when he was seen to disappear, but, as the caretaker and others !;new him to be an expert swimmer, no notice was taken of his disappearance for a little time. When the body was recovered, endeavors at resuscitation were made, but were unavailing. The medical man who was called in gave it as his opinion that death was due to failure of the heart. |
