Shooting Fatality.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. A young man named Robert H. Needham, a Wellington expressman, was accidentally shot dead while rabbit-shooting at Ohariu yesterday. Needham was handing a gun down the side of a cliff to a companion, holding the weapon by the muzzle. The trigger caught in the branches of a tree, and the gun discharged, the shot striking Needham over the heart. Death was instantaneous. His wife witnessed the accident from an adjoining hillside. He leaves a family of young children.
