WOMAN KILLS HERSELF.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, last night. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of a young woman named Martha Reader, who died in the Hospital on December 23th. The jury returned a verdict that deceased met her death from septic peritonitis, brought on by perforation of the womb by an instrument used byherself. The jury considered that it is to be regretted that the rules of the Hospital do not provide for dying depositions being taken in suspected criminal cases.
