The weather is extremely unpleasant, hot northerly winds prevailing. It is 103 in the shade in many places. Disastrous bush fires are raging in many districts. At Kylon’s Westfield estate at Kilmore the lire swept tho woolshed, and many sheep were destroyed, including a number of valuable stud rams. Great damage has also been done to tho Macedon State nursery.
