Good Times At Gore.

NEW POST OFFICE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gore, last night.

Sir Joseph Ward laid the foundation stone of tho new post office this morning, in tho presence of a large crowd. In the evening he addressed a largelyattended public meeting in the Town Hall, and was accorded a hearty reception. He spoke for two hours, and was listened to with deep attention. He predicted a balance of £500,000 in revenue over expenditure for the financial year ending March 3lst, 1902, and held out bright prospects for tho colony. He touched on nearly every matter of public importance, and his remarks wero punctuated with applause. In the evening a banquet was tendered to him, and was attended by many. A pleasant evening was spent. Among those present were the Hon. 11. Feldwick, “and Messrs McNab, Gilfedder, and Hanan, M.H.R.’s.
