WORK ALMOST AT A COMPLETE .STANDSTILL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The Secretary of the Auckland Main Trunk Bailway League at Tahapo writes as follows to the head office: ,l All the railway work north of here is entirely at a standstill. Large numbers of men have been discharged. At the present rate of progress the line will not reach Auckland in thirty years.
