BETTING ON AUCKLAND RACES. [By Telegraph —PreßS Association.] Auckland, last night. This morning the owner of Battlcaxe accepted from the Auckland ring about £I3OO at 10 to 1 for tho Auckland Cup. On Saturday night, for tho Cup and Railway double, St. Michael and Cruciform wore backed down to as short a price as 00 to 8. Tho following aro tho prices on offer on tho Auckland Cup to-day: 4 to 1 Nonette; sto 1 St. Michael; 7to 1 Bluejacket and Boddington ; 6 to 1 Ideal, Battleaxe and Coronet; 16 to 1 Djin-Djin ; 20 to 1 Formula, St. Ursula, Matoroa, and Defender; ** Nonette and St. Michael in tho Cup, and Cruciform and Jewellery in tho Railway Handicap, are the most heavily supported in tho doubles, about £ISOO having been taken during tho past week locally. Hikipeno and Landlock wore omitted from the list of acceptances for the Railway Handicap, and Tigress appoared as an acceptor for the Auckland Cup by mistake.
