ROYAL TAR WRECK.

At tho Royal Tar inquiry, William Mayno, tho look-out man when the vessel struck, said Captain Morrison came to him twice before midnight, and afterwards told him to keep a sharp look-out. Witness was quite sober. Ho had had no drink since 9.30 that morning, Previously he had had about a dozen long beers. Boatswain Hunt deposed that ho was in charge of tho watch after 12. He checked tho helmsman’s steering ou tho 'courso marked by the captain two or three times before the vessel struck. The correct course was steered. He had no knowledge of the Shearer Rock prior to tho casualty. Later.—At the inquiry re the wreck of the Royal Tar the evidence has been concluded, and the Court reserved its decision.
