TOTALISATOR CASE. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] 'Wellington, last night. At the Supreme Court to-day the 'hearing of the charge against Frank Clark of having stolen £6 15s from the proprietor of the totalisator at Masterton races, was continued. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty, with which Judge Edwards expressed his concurrence, and accused was discharged. There was some applause in Court at the verdict. DIVORCE CASE.

The Chief Justice this afternoon heard a suit brought by Eleanor Bloxam against Harry Bloxam. The parties were married in Dunedin in 1892. Five years ago petitioner was deserted by her husband. A decree nisi was granted. ELECTRIC CARS. The Mayor stated to-day that he expected the new system of electric cars will be running in the city in a couple of years. The Mayor indicated that the Council had been approached by a number of syndicates anxious to carry out the work, but they had determined to adhere to their previous decision to carry out the installation itself.
