ACCIDENTS.
MAN FALLS OVER A CLIFF. WOMAN KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, last night. The Bluff tug returned from Price’s boat harbor this morning, bringing an injured man, Phillips, who fell over the cliff to the rocks on the beach, on the 27jih ult. His mate, Treseder, carried him to a hut a mile away, and left him there, with some meal, which was all the food they had, and the water meal was done when Treseder returned from Orepuki on Tuesday night. Phillips is suffering from internal injury, He has been admitted to the hospital here. Had ho been alone he must have perished. Mrs Jacquery, storekeeper, crossing the line at Clyde street to-day, failed to notice the train approaching. She was knocked down, had an arm broken, and was considerably bruised.
