Melbourne, Dec. 3.

Further representations have been made by the Presbyterian Church to Mr Barton on the subject of French aggression in the New Hebrides. Mr Barton, replying, stated that in February last he recommended tho Imperial Government to establish a tribunal to deal with land disputes, that there should bo more frequent visits of warships, periodical visits of tho High Commissioner of the Western Pacific, and the appointment of a British Resident. The Imperial Government agreed to all except the land tribunal, which was still tho subject ot communications.
