French. Ex-Millionaires.
LOOKING FOR CHARITY. Paris, Oct. 5. The newspapers are devoting numerous articles to an alleged home for ruined millionaires which, it is reported, will be. founded at Poughkeepsie by Richard Ferris, formerly president of a New York bank, with money bequeathed for that purpose by Samuel Pringle. Already six French ex-millionaires have announced their intention of applying for admission if tho institution is to be international in character. One is M. Arton, the chief Panama briber, who was released from prison a year ago owing to the untiring efforts of his daughter.
