STOCK SALES.

Salks took place yeslerday at Waerenga-a-hika. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. report : —At our monthly stock sale to-day (Thursday) the entries were 400 wethers in wool and 100 wethers off the shears. The sellers fortunately recognised the fact that they could not expect to realiso the extreme prices of a month or two ago, and did not hamper us by high reserves, the result being that every line offered was briskly competed for and sold under the hammer at fair values. Fourtooth wethers in wool, in forward condition, realised 12s 5d ; four-tooth wethers, in close wool, 10s 9d to 11s ; two-tooth wethers, in wool, 10s 4d ; four-tooth wethers (shorn) nearly fat, 11s 9d ; twotooth wethers, shorn, 9s Id.
