FIJI NEWS.
A SCHOONER WRECKED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. News from Fiji states that the schooner Jjurline has been wrecked off the coast of Taviuni, and sank in deep water. Consequent on the Federal tariff, the regular trading steamer Birksgate, which usually conveyed fruit to Sydney, left for her destination in ballast. The Fiji banana contract has been abandoned by a Sydney firm, and taken up by Brodziak and Co., of Suva.
