SUPREME COURT.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. At the Supreme Court to-day, Nathaniel Heron was found not guilty of unlawfullywounding William Nevin at Waiau. The eVidenee was to tho effect that Nevin was | the aggressor in the scuffle which took I place, and the defence was that Nevin was so drunk that he did not realise he had a knife in his hand. Douglas J. McNaught, charged with stealing eight sheep from Glenmark estate, was found not guilty. William P. M-. Hoggard was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for stealing a chain and a gold ring. The Grand Jury found a true bill in the Ariadne ease,
