On being shown some Snider rifles used oy the teachers in drill, he said that more modem weapons should he supplied* "Boys read as much as we do,” he added,and know very well when given obsolete rilles. Give them something which they can use easily, which they can siioot with’, and which they will take a real interest in.” Sir Hector Macdonald was entertained by tho Caledonian Society tonight.
