THE WHAKAPAI WRECK.
WERE SIGNALS SEEN 2 (By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night. The nautical inquiry into the wreck of the Wiiakapai lias concluded. John Hazard, third officer of tho To Auau, said that while nearlEast Island lie saw what lie took to boa 1 schooner, but noticed no signals of distress. James Stark, on duty as helmsman at the time, said that he saw no craft of any kind.
The decision will bo given on Saturday
