: BILLIARD SALOOX. ; j [By Telegraph Press Association.] ! Wellington, last night. The Colon: ui - Secretary has promised the City Council to consider the suggestion that model by-laws should be drawn up to operate over the whole colony in regard to the control of billiard saloons. TRAMWAY LINE. The City Council on Saturday night resolved to strike a special rate of twopence in the pound as security for the interest on the tramway’s loan of .£225,000. and a similar rate for the street paving loan of 1155,000. The Mayor said he did not propose to raise the paving loan until the tramway loan was floated.
