ALLEGED ASSAULT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. At Tapaimi to-day Patrick McCann, boardinghouse-kooper, was charged with wounding his wife with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Alter hearing evidence Mr Cruickshank, S.M., sail) he felt satisfied that tho woman had been wounded, and an explanation was necossary. Accused was committed for trial. Bail was fixed at .£’2oo, and one surety for a similar sum.
