Death of a Prisoner.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] New Plymouth, last night.
The inquest on Edward Bowman, who dropped dead on the way to gaol yesterday. was held to-day. A verdict of death from natural causes, accelerated by alcoholism, was returned. The Coroner and jury expressed satisfaction at the measures taken by the police in treating the man while in the lockup oil the previous night.
