The lighting at Itala lasted nineteen hours.

In reply to a question from tho New South Wales Assembly as to whether lie knew that a number of New Zealand soldiers were stranded in Sydney, and if he would try and induce Ids Government to make arrangements for their return, the New Zealand Premier said the G overnment would assist the men as fur as possible. lie would make full enquiries, into the n ’’liter.
