By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Sept. 24. The J laily Telegraph, referring to tho prohibition of the importation of grapes by New Zealand, says now that it is proved that phylloxera is not communicable by fruit, and that the disease is not present here, the only reason for tho exclusion is a fiscal one. If the prohibition were lifted the grapes could bo sold in New Zealand at fourperice and‘sixpence per pound, when otherwise they would be three shillings.
