A Dangerous Crossing.

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] New Plymouth, last night. A public meeting was held to-night, the Mayor presiding, relative to a deviation of the railway line to avoid crossing the streets. The concensus of opinion was that a deviation was urgent to prevent further accidents. A resolution was passed appointing the Mayor and Mr Newton King to wait on tho Minister, in conjunction with the Chairman of tho Chamber of Commerce, to urge the necessity for a deviation being taken in hand without delay.
