The Preaching of Women.

(To the Editor of the Times.)

Sir, — I have perused “ Vox’s ” letter. 1 recognised who he was immediately, having heard him address meetings. Unhappily both ho and G. H. Wilson are evidently intoxicated with their own verbosity, and I fear also with their intense egotism. A person possessed of such profound erudition as G. IT. Wilson thinks he is, remaining in so small a district as this, reminds ono of tho verse—- “ Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, And waste its sweetness on tho desert air.” He appears to think I ought to feel quite j crushed with “ Vox’s ” and his letters. I | had no desire to enter into public contro- i versy, simply to state what I believed to be the truth. A friend lias called my attention to Ivev. 19th, 10th, where Joim is distinctly told what prophecy in these latter days consists of, viz : “ the spirit of prophecy is tho testimony of Jesus.” I consider both “ Vox " and G. H. Wilson have very much begged the question in their remarks.—l am, etc.,

J. Peckover,
