THE MURDERER’S EXCUSES.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Sept. 12. Faugcron, a Frenchman, lias been committed to Clerkenwell, on a charge of murdering Jung, a Swiss jeweller. The prisoner alleges that Jung, representing a secret society, offered him money to stab Mr Chamberlain, for causing tho warmisery. The bribe was rejected. Tho return of moneys previously given by Jung to relievo him in his distress was demanded. A scuffle ensued, and he killed Jung unintentionally in selfdefence.
