MORE WASTE OF TIME
RIVAL JOURNALISTS PLAYING WITH THE HOUSE.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. In the Houso of Representatives this afternoon, Mr Hornsby moved that a gross breach of privilege had been committed by tho publication of a certain article in tho Manawatu Evening Standard of October 22nd, 1901. Tho Acting-Speaker said that tho alleged broach of privilege occurred about eleven months ago, and ho ruled that Mr Hornsby must give notice of motion on the subject.
Mr Hornsby thereupon gave notice of motion for the following day. Mr Pirani then gave notico tliat he would bring before the House a broach of privilege committed by Mr J. T. M. Hornsby in the Napier Evening News of 6th August, 1896.
