SHADOWING ANARCHISTS.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Washington, Soph 11. The police of New York are taking a census of anarchists and shadowing them till their movements are explained.
President McKinley's condition is unchanged in all important particulars, lie spent a comfortable night. He has experienced slight irritation arising out of the presence of fragments of coat in his fiesh, which necessitated a partial ro-open-ing of the wound, delaying healing. Beef juice is being taken through the mouth.
Colonel Roseveldt states that President Mclvinloy will resume his duties in a month.
Edelbert Stone has been arrested at New Jersey on a chargo of being accessory to the attack. He remarked on Friday that he would not bo surprised to bear that President McKinley had been killed that day. He now declares the statement to have been a joke. Received 10.55 p.m., Sept. 12.
Washington, Sept. 12. Mr McKinley is assimilating an increased quantity of food, and continues to gain strength.
