The Agent-General in a cablegram dated London the 7th states“ Average prico to-day of Canterbury mutton is iljd, Dunedin and Southland iiijd; a better tono in tho mutton market this week. Australian in small supply, and firmly held ; lamb market.dull, prices unaltered. The weather lately iias been very unfavorable to the sale of” lamb. The hemp market is steady. Good fair Wellington, spot, T 26 10s. Thero is a stock of 241 G tons, as ajjainst lb'JJ tons last year. Fair current Manila is at Too 10s. Butter market firm.”
