Legislative Councillor.

(To the Editor of the Times ) Sir, —It seems to me a great pity that the Harbor Board and County Council should take up such an incongruous stand in the matter of seeking for the appointment of a Legislative Councillor. We all know that, as Councillor Wbinray says, this district is entitled to two Legislative Councillors, and we also know that if the district does not consistently barrack for such an appointment it will never be made. There can be no question that the number of gentlemen from whom such an appointcould be made is not great. The troublo would be when the choice came to bo made.—l am, etc., Old Hand.
